TOM COSTELLO






Tom Costello was Born 30th April 1863 in Ireland.

He made his first appearance on the stage at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Wolverhampton;  he made his first appearance in London atthe Bedford, Middlesex and South London music halls on 11th October 1883.

 

Christmas 1886 he was at the Surrey Theatre as Mephistopheles Muldoon in pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk under George Conquest.

 

Toms first song success in the halls was HIS FUNERAL TOMORROW but he first came into prominence by his rendering of the well known song COMRADES this firmly established his success and for many years he was a leading attraction ath the principal halls throughout the United Kingdom.
